DESCRIPTION:
From the owner of Kansas City’s local chain The Mixx, comes Caffetteria – an approachable fast-casual homestyle Italian eatery. Located in a bustling Prairie Village shopping center, the client wanted to create a hub for families in the community, inviting patrons to pick up a family-style meal to-go or enjoy a relaxed sit-down meal. The design of the space was inspired by the client's fond memories of Sunday dinners with the whole family - which is celebrated through the central open kitchen surrounded by seating. The finish palette and colors were inspired by the mod era in the 50's and 60's.

The image on the right became a touchpoint throughout the design process. "I want the space to feel like a place this woman would go" was the task. The color palette, furniture, and overall aesthetic stemmed from this idea.
