About Me
Hello, I'm Erin Spencer, a licensed interior designer based in Kansas City. My focus throughout my 12+ years career has been designing commercial spaces, ranging from hospitality, multi-family, higher education, retail, and corporate projects.
As a designer, I believe in both form following function and function following experience. I love storytelling through spaces and uncovering unique concepts for every project. While there may be common threads throughout the projects I touch, I don't design in one specific style - I let the concept, story, and people inform each unique project. I believe that's what makes design interesting. I find inspiration through travel, films, research-rabbit-holes, and something I call "method designing".
My favorite project types to design are those that have the ability to impact the people using it. For this reason, my interests have been focused in designing spaces that can have a broad reach - whether it's public space, hospitality, or multi-family living.
From a young age, I knew I wanted to be an interior designer. I credit my interest in architecture and design to the Bookmobile, the dishwasher, and my family (specifically my younger sister who let me endlessly re-arrange our childhood bedroom).

*NOTE: If you are looking for Erin Stork, you've come to the right place! I was married in 2024 and recently changed my name.
I Believe...

in the integration of architecture & interior design
in the process
in form following function
in function following desired experience
in Zooming in and zooming out
in non-homogenous designs
in perspective
in the je ne sais quoi
in dad jokes
that we will win!
anything can be turned into a song
